Digital artist James George has published his RGB+D Toolkit, an opensource platform that uses a regular SRL camera and the depth sensors of a Kinetic device to produce what they call Depth filmmaking.
The result is an awesome mix of 3D an video with an amazing aesthetic that can be completely programmed by the user in an easy-to-use programming environment.
The software can be downloaded from the RGBD Toolkit wegpage, where you can also find great examples of the system in use.
Here you can see more projects from James George.
